Bloor Research Product Evaluation Ranks Composite Software as Leading Independent Pure Play in Data Federation

SAN MATEO, Calif. - February 13, 2008 –Composite Software, Inc., a real-time data integration leader, today announced that a product evaluation by Bloor Research finds that Composite maintains a significant market presence in data federation. Further, the analyst firm-- one of the world’s leading IT research, analysis and consultancy organizations--is optimistic about Composite’s future outlook, especially with the imminent release of Composite’s Discovery product, slated for Q2 2008.

Key findings in the report include:

Composite Information Server supports both SQL and XML environments as well as legacy, flat file and Excel environments.
The Composite Information Server is view-based, which is relatively simple to define compared to some products that require the definition of a virtual schema.
Once a view is defined, either SQL or WSDL (web services description language) can be automatically generated. These can be amended by hand and models (with some exceptions) re-generated.
Pre-packaged interfaces to leading application environments are provided out of the box. Particularly useful is an introspection feature that will detect Relevant customization that can be used to adapt the standard interfaces appropriately. Where-used and dependency diagrams can also be used in conjunction with introspection to ensure that changes to data structures are reflected in queries on an on-going basis.
There is a major emphasis in Composite Information Services on ensuring optimal performance.
